Privacy

Your details, and what we do with them.

Short and plain: we use what you send us only to reply to you.

Who we are

KF Crafts — KFCRAFTS LIMITED, registered in England, company number 13750347, registered office 48 Spring Shaw Road, Orpington BR5 2RH. Your contact for anything here is Hristiyan Dimitrov, Co-CEO: 07934 524074 or hristiyan@kfcrafts.co.uk. You can also write to Ivan Atanasov, Founder: ivan@kfcrafts.co.uk. Contracts, invoices and paperwork: info@kfcrafts.co.uk.

What we keep

Why

Only to reply to your enquiry: to call you, prepare your visualisation or quote, and arrange a survey. We never sell your details or add you to a mailing list.

Where it goes

Forms on this site are received by Netlify Forms (our website host, acting for us) and sent to us by email. The website’s assistant runs through Netlify AI Gateway (Anthropic’s Claude model); we do not store chats unless you ask to be contacted.

When you send a form, or ask the website’s assistant to have Hristiyan contact you, a short alert with your name, phone number, email, postcode and what you asked about is also sent to Hristiyan’s private Telegram chat, so that he can call you back quickly. Telegram (Telegram Messenger Inc.) keeps these messages on its servers, which may be outside the UK. Nobody else is in that chat.

KF Studio keeps your photo and what is made from it in Netlify’s storage for our website. “Make it real” and the set of views send the photo and the building placed in it to an image model (Higgsfield, or a Google Gemini image model through Netlify AI Gateway); “Bring it to life” sends the finished picture to Higgsfield, which makes the short film. They are used only to prepare your visualisation and your project. We ask you to leave people out of the photo, and nothing is done to recognise faces or people. Every result is marked as a computer-generated (CGI) visualisation. Plans it draws are concept plans, not for construction, and are confirmed at the survey.

Your address report. When you check an address, the point you choose on the map is sent to our server and looked up in public planning data (planning.data.gov.uk, Historic England, the Environment Agency, HM Land Registry’s plot outlines and postcodes.io). We keep the answer for that spot, rounded to about ten metres, for up to 30 days so the next check is faster; it holds no name, address or contact details. The map is drawn from OpenStreetMap’s servers, which receive your internet address and our website’s address when the map loads (OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy). “Use my location” uses your browser’s location only on your device, until you press “Check this spot”. If you ask the website’s assistant about planning at a postcode, it checks the same public data at the postcode’s centre.

How long

Up to 12 months after your last contact with us. Alerts in Hristiyan’s Telegram chat are deleted within 12 months too. Garden photos sent with the enquiry form are deleted once your visualisation is made. Everything KF Studio stores — the photo, the pictures and the film — is kept for 30 days at most.

Visitor statistics

To see which parts of this website help people and which don’t, we count visits ourselves, on our own website host (Netlify), without cookies. We record what happens on the site — which pages and sections are viewed, which buttons are pressed (for example “Call” or “Design in 3D”), the options chosen in the 3D designer and the price range of the design on screen, whether a form was sent and whether it reached us (never what you wrote in it), how fast the page loaded — together with the type of device (phone, tablet or computer), the language setting, a rounded screen width, the website that linked to this one, the name of our own campaign if you came from one of our links (or only the fact that you came from an advert), and the town, region and country your internet connection is in. That place is worked out by Netlify from your internet address at the moment of the visit, and it is often only approximate; we keep the names, never the address or anything more precise. To count visitors without identifying anyone, our server combines your internet address and browser type with a random value that changes every day and is deleted within an hour of midnight, and keeps only the result. Your internet address and browser details are never stored. We keep these records for up to 35 days and the daily totals made from them for up to 13 months. We use them only to improve this website, on the basis of our legitimate interest in doing so, and we never use them for advertising. They stay with us and our website host, except that if you accept cookies, Google Analytics also receives your visit (see Cookies below).

If you accept our cookie (below), your visits also carry its random number, so that we can see how one visitor’s visits fit together over time: how you first found us, which pages and prices you looked at on each visit, and whether it led to an enquiry. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) form of that number, never the cookie itself, and nothing that says who you are — although if you then send us an enquiry, we may be able to tell which journey was yours. These journeys are kept for up to 13 months, on the basis of your consent. If you withdraw it, we delete the cookie from your browser and remove your journey from our statistics within a day; the detailed daily records that still hold the scrambled number delete themselves within 35 days.

You can switch the counting off altogether on Don’t count my visits (it saves one setting in your browser, only if you ask), or with your browser’s “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” setting; then no cookie is set either. Unless you accepted the cookie, we never know which visits are yours, so we can’t find or delete one person’s visits; the detailed records delete themselves after 35 days.

Cookies

We use cookies for statistics only if you say yes: one of our own, and Google Analytics’. The first time you visit, a short notice asks whether we may set them. If you press Reject, or don’t answer, none is set, nothing is sent to Google, and your visit is still counted without cookies as described above. You can change your answer at any time:

Your choice is shown here once the page has loaded.

NameWhat it doesHow long
kf_consentRemembers your answer to the cookie question, so we don’t ask on every page. Set when you answer, whichever way; it is needed to respect a “no”.12 months
kf_vidA random number that lets us recognise your device when you come back, as described under Visitor statistics. Set only if you press Accept.13 months from when it was set, or until you withdraw
_ga, _ga_…Google Analytics: counts visits and how our pages are used, for us. Set only if you press Accept.13 months after your last visit, or until you withdraw

If you press Accept, Google Analytics (a service of Google) also receives your visit — the pages you view, the buttons you press, the type of device and browser you use, and an approximate place worked out from your internet address, which Google does not keep — and gives us reports on how our website is used. Google processes this under its own terms (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites) and may transfer it outside the UK. We have switched off Google signals and ad personalisation, we don’t use Google Analytics to build advertising audiences, and Google Analytics keeps what it receives for no more than 14 months. Nothing is sent to Google until you press Accept, and if you withdraw your consent with Cookie settings above, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are deleted from your browser.

Some parts of the site also keep small settings in your browser — never sent to us, only so they work as you’d expect: the opening animation plays once per visit (kf:intro, until you close the tab); the garden visualiser and KF Studio remember how many free visuals you have left today (kf-vis-left, kfs-left), your studio project so it is still there when you open its pack (kfs-pack, kfs:design) and that you have seen the photo tips (kf:photo-guide); the address report carries its summary to the enquiry form when you press “Book a free survey” (kf:address-book, read once and removed); and “Don’t count my visits” is remembered as kf-stats-off. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes all of them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold at any time, and withdraw your consent to the statistics cookies with Cookie settings above: call Hristiyan on 07934 524074 or email hristiyan@kfcrafts.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
